If you don’t like the n word, don’t work at my store. If you miscarry your baby you will be expected to come in to work the next day. My boss didn’t pay for it despite his cohesion. I have been told to speed it up or my hours will be cut I’m fed up with being bitched at for my drive times. Then the people who aren’t in the clique will have their feet held to the fire to do all the work while you play video games and watch movies If you are popular with the 23 year old manager you can pass the buck and sit on counters or shelves for the vast majority of your shift and play with your phone. I am fed up with Dominos because it’s nothing but a popularity contest. Forcing min wage workers to commute many miles from the undesirable cities so that they can work shit jobs in expensive cities is not the solution. Rent varies too much between cities, but min wage jobs exist everywhere, so there needs to be some form of rent control to provide enough affordable housing. I personally don't think that there is an issue with the current min wage, the cost of living is out of control imo. 1000×3÷4÷30= $25/hr min wage to compete with rental costs. Full time min wage is 30 hours/week (jobs generally don't offer more than that unless you're working at two different companies). That's 1k/month each, which should be 1/3 or less of your income. So, I would say that a 1 bd apartment is off limits to a single person, but if we take 2 single people sharing a 2 bd. I would say that these are low estimates, honestly. Where I live a 1 bd apartment is ~1500/month. But they also deserve a lot better, and I hope we all escape this Titanic of a company before we all go down. The only reason I stick around is because I do love my coworkers like family. You’re welcome to it but that isn’t the point. Whether it’s at Domino’s, or the grocery store, or McDonalds, or Applebees, or anywhere, please just show a little respect and dignity toward your fellow human beings. Adults who scream at teenagers because they can’t hire enough drivers for timely deliveries, or can’t apply a coupon that corporate changed, or can’t put onions on the pizza because commissary is fucked up are an embarrassment. But ever since COVID began there has been a noticeable increase in rudeness and stinginess from the customers, and I find that really disappointing. Some of them make the job, some of them break it. However, $6.99 mix and match for delivery and $5.99 for pickup? A $3 “carry-out tip” FOR THE CUSTOMER? Why don’t you try checks notes paying people a living wage (see my first point for details) instead of turning Domino’s, which pioneered pizza delivery once upon a time, into a carryout only restaurant simply because YOU can’t be assed to pay people their due in a time of record profits?Ĭustomers. They’ve been trying to do that for years, ever since Piece of the Pie dropped, really, and it’s definitely for the best. Increasing online orders at the expense of phone calls is fine. The new promotionals and changes to specials/deals are designed to fuck over the delivery drivers. Choose wisely.Ĭorporate fucking hates us. But you could just as easily not have any employees and make nothing. You guys are making a killing, and we’re well aware of it. Keep raising prices and squeezing insane work out of employees without compensating them for their labor. That’s a job listing tactic with no basis in reality. Why the fuck would I want to deliver pizza for $4 an hour (on the road) when I could go pour coffee at Dunkin for $16? “Oh, but mileage and tips make it more like $20 hourly” … no. They’re mad about staffing issues but unwilling to pay employees a wage at which they can actually be retained. I could write an essay, but here’s a good starting point for why I’m sick of Domino’sįranchisees are greedy.
